I’ve been so busy! My Parents and Sister were here last week visiting for a bit of a holiday and to do wedding stuff. My Mom and I in particular ran around looking for fabric for her outfit, went to a dress pattern fitting, looked for shoes (I found some but I don’t think that they are ‘the ones’), and finally went for a hair trial. It’s so hard when your Mom is far away to include her so we really went all out! Also, my dress is going to be SO amazing….I’m so happy!
We went to Port Alfred for the weekend (which also happened to be my Birthday) and the weather was miserable! Seriously! I’d planning walking on the beach and wandering the antique/junk shops and having tea outside on the balcony. None of that happened. What happened was noses stuck in books, lots of tea and coffee and rusks, and later whiskey and/or red wine. Not ideal but I enjoyed it! The weather finally cleared on Sunday and we took a walk to the breakwater to see what was going on…

Huge waves at the breakwater

Trying to launch today would have been crazy!
However, the weather was clear enough for us to go and have lunch at the Ocean Basket. The complimentary sherry’s helped too!

Wish you were here…
This week has been a blur of work and getting things ready for my trip overseas. (I’m nowhere near ready!). In some ways I am still in a kind of denial about it. This time next week I’ll be in Copenhagen. It just doesn’t feel real! I’m a lot more relaxed about finding my way around and stuff like that but I’m nervous of getting stranded and running out of cash (all partially unfounded-not that the R7000 car service helped at all!) but I will be fine. It’s all about the attitude. I can stress or not. I choose not too.
Tonight we have our MBA Class of 2010 Final Dinner. I can believe we are almost at the end. The last three years have absolutely FLOWN past! We were all chatting the other evening abut what we’d do with all the free time we’ll have next year! And how to get over the lingering guilt that we should be doing ‘something’!
I will be blogging and Instagram-ing from my trip wherever I get to WiFi (roaming is stupidly expensive so it probably won’t be real-time!) so expect a lot of photos and so on!
